Tumaini John George Tumaini is a 12-year-old poet in class seven. Her favorite subject is civic and moral. She has been doing poetry for five years. This passion was ignited when Tumaini was asked by her teacher in Dar es Salaam to recite a poem on a graduation day. Through her work, Tumaini has been featured on BBC News and is a TEDx speaker. She has also performed at Innovation Week Tanzania. Tumaini aims to inspire people through her poetry and make a lasting change in the community. She aspires to be an inspiring poet and a traveling journalist. Carl Manlan Carl Manlan works at the intersection of public, private, and civil society sectors. Through his professional career, he has contributed to health financing through multi-lateral organisations. Carl Manlan is the Vice President, Social Impact, CEMEA at Visa. As a Mo Ibrahim Fellow at the Economic Commission for Africa, he focused on industrial and agricultural policies designed to accelerate the transformation of the African continent. Before his current role at Visa, he was the COO at EcoBank Foundation and also led a public-private initiative to support an African response to Ebola in West Africa. Carl Manlan holds a Master of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School. He is a 2016 Aspen Institute New Voices Fellow. He writes on African economic transformation. Elizabeth Mwambulukutu Elizabeth Mwambulukutu is a seasoned communications practitioner and an award-winning visual artist with experience in pan-African development initiatives and in championing the socio-economic empowerment of youth and women. Elizabeth is the Regional Communications Manager - WaterAid East Africa. She’s also a member of UN WOMEN’s African Leaders Network. Fatma Kauga Fatma is a proficient Finance Director with more than 5 years of experience in financial modeling for the e-learning industry. Fatma is highly skillful with leadership, corporate governance, public speaking, project management, emotional, and social intelligence skills. Fatama is Director Finance & Administration - Shule Direct, Tanzania Beverly Chogo Beverly is a well-experienced project coordinator with over three years of experience in the entrepreneurship ecosystem. For three years, she was the co-founder of Sophiebot, artificial intelligence to answer young people’s questions on sexual and reproductive health. She recently successfully concluded running a student entrepreneurship & innovation program to create solutions towards improving hygiene and sanitation. Beverly Mutindi Chogo is a LeO Africa Institute Fellow of the Young Emerging Leaders Project, Class of 2018. Judith Lumumba Judith is a Founder of Scars In my Voice (SIVO), a community-based initiative that aims to achieve a long sustainable custom of young women speaking up, engaging, and protecting their spaces. She is an Alumnus of Young Africa Leadership Initiative(YALI) Regional Leadership Center, Emerging Voices Program, and The Moth Global Community. Rosie Lore, PhD Rosie Lore exists to inspire courage in individuals, crush mediocrity, expand possibilities, and create a lasting impact. Over the past six years, her career has transitioned into Leadership Development; she initially managed the Acumen Fund’s East Africa Fellows Program. More recently she supported the set-up of a Stanford University Graduate School of Business initiative – Stanford Seed – a business transformation accelerator that enables SMEs & their CEO/founders to transform and scale their businesses. Rosie presently serves as CEO to the leadership consulting practice, The High Energy Group www.theheg.org , which predominantly serves business executives, entrepreneurs, and their management teams offering individual and team coaching as well as facilitated experiential leadership workshops that impact organizational health and business performance.
